Technical Implementation Consultant

As a Technical Implementation Consultant you will participate in all phases of Software Implementation. You will be client facing, provide technical support, integrate and configure software and hardware components to provide an effective solution to our clients.

It will take outstanding individuals to earn appointment to these roles, individuals who possess the following:

Skills:

  • Strong written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects or tasks at one time

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience. Master's Degree is a plus.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understand XML, RDBMS technologies (primarily SQL & Oracle), Java, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, Cascading Style Sheets, XSL, XSLT, DOM.
  • Experience or familiarity with multi-tier architectures, Internet technologies, protocols, and products.
  • Proven ability to understand and implement multi-component integrated solutions
  • Solid experience using Web Technologies like HTTP, HTML and J2EE
  • Experience with RDBMS Database Technologies
  • SQL Query Writing
  • SQL Tuning
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server & Oracle platforms
  • Understanding of UML Modelling, and Multi-Tier Architectures
  • Working knowledge of Server Operating Systems (both Windows & Unix)
  • Communication protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, FTP, etc.)
  • Clustering and Load Balancing
  • Proven technical analytical and problem solving skills

Experience:

  • Experience with implementation of portal and/or single sign on technology, preferably in the hospital and health insurance market
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, particularly clinical workflow processes and procedures, and messaging standards (e.g. HL7 and HIPAA)
  • 5+ years experience in application software implementation and development including, preferably functional experience with major clinical systems and products associated with provider order entry, medication administration, charting, patient safety, PACS, Electronic Medical Record, and Lab systems

You will need to have the flexibility to travel, up to 50% of time to Orion Health customer sites.

Project Managers - Boston and Santa Monica

Orion Health is seeking an experience Project Manager based in Santa Monica or Boston who is exceptionally adaptable and multi-skilled in order to produce effective solutions. Hospitals present challenging and diverse IT environments, with most hospitals operating multiple vendor systems, repositories, databases and applications.

To be considered for this role you must have demonstrated the ability to:

  • Negotiate project objectives, time lines, deadlines and resource plans with development staff
  • Negotiate resource requirements for projects in conjunction with other management
  • Manage the performance of projects to meet time deadlines, budget targets and quality standards
  • Oversee the performance of several projects at multiple client sites

For the perfect fit you will have 5 years project management experience of implementing large software development projects in a hospital environment. A relevant tertiary or PMI qualification will be advantageous.

Generalist HR Manager

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager based in Santa Monica CA or our new office in Boston MA to handle employee relations in the US and Canada. Your role will include every aspect of the recruitment process and compliance, the preparation and maintenance of written policies, handbooks as well as the administration of our employee benefit and personal development programmes. This role also provides HR leadership and coaching to employees and managers regarding employment matters. You will be part of a global HR team and be an active member of the North American Management team. Some travel will be required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 10 or more years of generalist HR experience within the US market
  • Bachelors degree preferably specialising in Human Resource Management
  • Good working knowledge of federal, state and local employment law

Sales Director

The Sales Director role will be responsible for identifying and developing clinical portal and interface engine account opportunities, arranging presentations, demonstrations and site visits. Our Sales Directors frequently close sales with existing customers and coordinate with account and project managers as well as being involved in contract negotiations and work closely with Orion Health's VP Sales. Our Sales team always has their ear close to the ground regarding industry and product knowledge and current market conditions.

You will need:

  • 5+ years of successful healthcare information systems sales experience to hospitals

  • Experience in long sales cycles (1+ years)

  • Good negotiation, conflict management and customer service skills

Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Professional Services Teams within the North America region. This role works closely with our clients to analyze their business needs and help identify how our products and solutions can solve problems and add value. This includes the translation of businesses needs into requirements and functionality specifications, which can be used by both technical and business users and completion of GAP analyses. System Development Life cycle support and Project Management activities will challenge our Business Analyst and enable professional growth.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • 5+ years of project implementation experience as a consultant.
  • Experience with the collation and translation of business requirements into functional specifications
  • Effective written communication skills to provide technical information to non-technical and technical audiences.

Service Delivery Team Lead

We are looking for outstanding people who are independent, free thinking and who know how to deliver success for our customers and will work in well with our extremely talented staff. This role will require you to be able to communicate with our software development teams and external clients to provide advice and solutions to all manner of customer issues. Your technical knowledge will be second-to-none along with your analytical thinking skills, problem solving skills, professionalism and customer focus.

The successful candidates will be taken on board to ensure successful running of the Regional Service Delivery team. You will be responsible for leading the Regional team, maintaining a strong working relationship with internal departments and the other Regional Service Delivery teams while providing feedback on our existing processes and procedures.
