| Orion Health Expands Global eHealth Presence |

AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND – 19 August 2010. Orion Health, a global software company, is on a major expansion drive, with its patient centric electronic health record (EHR) and health information exchange (HIE) solutions in use by more customers in more countries than ever before. The privately-owned company is a world leader in eHealth enabling technology and its current boom comes hard on the heels of its recent strong profit announcement, showing revenue growth in 2010’s second half was 28% up over the same period last year. According to Ian McCrae, Orion Health CEO, the past year has been one of the strongest in the global marketplace for the company, which has been providing innovative technology to the healthcare industry since 1993. He expects the consistent growth will continue throughout 2010 and predicted little change from the company’s upward growth path in the first quarter of 2011. Whilst North America comprises 50% of Orion Health’s sales (and this is expected to grow even more on the back of the Obama government’s healthcare spend), the company is looking further afield for growth. For over a decade, the company has been implementing EHR and HIE solutions worldwide, with initial pilot development sites in New Zealand in early 2000. This was followed by its first EHR site in Canada in 2005 which now has over 30,000 users managing over three million patient records. The company has continued to showcase its expertise, winning significant national and regional EHR project in recent times in the US, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. But the latest jewel in the Orion Health crown is the selection of Orion Health’s software as part of the Singapore National Electronic Health Records project. Orion Health is part of a consortium including partners Oracle, Initiate and Hewlett-Packard. Following an intensive procurement process, which included a working Proof of Concept to demonstrate interoperability, scalability and clinical acceptance, the Singapore Ministry of Health awarded the consortium a contract to implement the NEHR in June 2010. Ian McCrae said this is a transformative event for the company in Asia, which will see Orion Health’s technology transforming the way in which clinical information is shared across Singapore’s health services. “But, what we will be doing in Singapore is, in reality, built on the products and experience we have been deploying all around the world." “Our experiences in large scale regional and national EHR and HIE projects across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific mean we are able to offer the best strategies and solutions to the market, and that experience was critical in this win,” he said. McCrae said Orion Health was a classic example of a company in ‘the right place at the right time’ as health care systems world-wide struggle to cope with rising demand, rising costs, workforce shortages and increased public expectation. e-Health software, like that provided by Orion Health, helps providers improve the quality of health care for citizens, lower the costs of health care services, and promote more effective health policies, he said. Mr McCrae said the company is in the process of opening an office in Singapore, which will be the company’s head office for Southeast Asia, and was already looking for staff. “We’ve found it is important to have good local representation in country, so that we can provide the quality and level of support we consider necessary,” said Mr McCrae. “Singapore, with population of five million and its pivotal position as an entry into Asia, has the potential to be our largest site so far. What the Ministry of Health in Singapore want to do with sharing clinical information takes the effectiveness of EHRs to a new level globally”. Orion Health has offices in the US (east and west coast), Canada, Australia, the UK and Spain and New Zealand (and soon to be Singapore). About Orion Health Ltd.
