| Maine's HealthInfoNet Announces Vendor of Choice Selection for Statewide Health Information Exchange |

HealthInfoNet (HIN) has selected 3M Health Information Systems to provide the interoperability solution for its statewide information exchange. 3M and its partners, Orion Health and Connectria, were chosen over 32 other vendors that responded to HIN's initial RFI for its demonstration project. 3M will provide its Clinical Data Repository (CDR), Enterprise Master Person Index (EMPI), and Healthcare Data Dictionary (HDD) products. HealthInfoNet was created by a coalition of Maine stakeholders, including hospitals, physicians, payers, employers, and government, to create a statewide coordinated health information system that will improve the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery in Maine while reducing medical errors and controlling the growth in costs.
