Dublin's Beacon Hospital Opens With State-of-the-Art Information Systems Incorporating Orion Health's Rhapsody™ Integration Engine

Brand New Hospital Selects Rhapsody to Support Information Sharing

DUBLIN, 15th Nov., 2006 - Orion Health, a global provider of clinical workflow and integration technology for the healthcare sector, today announced that Beacon Hospital in Sandyford, Dublin, has activated its Rhapsody™ Integration Engine to provide critical data sharing between clinical & business data systems.

Systems being integrated include Meditech (Patient Administration System); GE Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS); PYXIS; and Lawson Enterprise. The system was officially live yesterday (14th November) as the new nine-floor, 183 bed Beacon Hospital opened its doors for the first time.

Beacon Hospital officials selected Rhapsody as their systems-integration solution after receiving a trial version demonstrating the solution's potential.
