Orion Health Signs Partnership Agreement with PSC Inc. in Japan
Tokyo, Japan, Friday 17th June 2011 - Orion Health K.K. a global leader in healthcare IT, has signed a partnership agreement with PSC Inc, a Japanese company that specializes in diagnosis imaging filing systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Ian McCrae, CEO, Orion Health, says "Orion Health is expanding into the Japanese market by identifying and working closely with key strategic partners who can combine their own products and healthcare IT expertise with our products to deliver world class solutions.

“PSC has realised the value in embracing Orion Health’s solution, offering it to existing customers and using it alongside their own products to create new and exciting regional solutions for new customers.  We are very excited by the opportunities that this partnership presents.”

Like the rest of the world, Japan is faced with an increase in healthcare demand and cost. Governments and health organizations are pressed to optimise the way they share, move and use clinical data to improve both their business and the welfare of their patient’s health. The growth of regional and national initiatives in Japan has increased demand for a flexible, robust and secure solution for sharing increasing volumes of information between healthcare organizations.

Mr. Aibara, CEO of PSC Inc. says the “improvement of electronic health records (EHR) is critical to ensure that all patients receive the full benefit of fair and quality medical services. We believe Orion Health products are the best to achieve this.”

He continues “Orion Health is a world leading company in EHR. In addition to products and technologies, there are also many aspects of corporate philosophy by which we can relate to each other. We are most honored to have such a partnership with Orion Health.“

Under the deal, PSC Inc, who recently listed on the JASDAQ, is authorised to distribute Orion Health Rhapsody Integration Engine, Hospital and EHR software throughout Japan.

With Orion Health’s global experience in the EHR space and PSC’s repute in Japan, the partnership is a significant opportunity for both companies to provide expertise to the health care sector in Japan.

Orion Health will be exhibiting at the HIMSS Asia Pacific Conference in Melbourne, Australia from 20th-23rd September this year.
