Auckland, NZ. February 13, 2012 – Orion Health, Ltd., the global leader in Health Information Exchange (HIE) and integration solutions, again demonstrated the company’s commitment to an open standards approach to information exchange by participating in the recent Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Connectathon in Chicago, which took place on January 9-13, 2012. The event was the latest in a series of healthcare IT interoperability testing events taking place in North America, Australia and Europe. Vendors from all healthcare verticals attend to test their software with other systems and work towards a more standardized integration environment. Focusing on regional health information exchange, Orion Health showcased three products at the event and successfully tested them with many other vendors in the market. The products - Orion Health Clinical Portal, Health Information Exchange and Rhapsody Integration Engine - form the key exchange technologies deployed in private and statewide HIEs in Alaska, Maine, Louisiana and North Carolina amongst others. “Orion Health is and always has been known as a world leader in health integration.
