Ian McCrae, Chief Executive Officer

Ian McCrae founded Orion Health in 1993 with a five-person staff in Auckland, New Zealand. Under his stewardship, the company has seen unprecedented growth and success. With 120 staff members now operating four continents, Orion Health has introduced its health integration software to every major market.

Ian is one of 11 members of the New Zealand Government's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Taskforce, formed to identify ways to boost the sector's economic contribution. As an industry visionary, Ian spearheaded the formation of New Zealand's Health IT Cluster, a group of 25 companies collaborating to promote New Zealand's unique software solutions overseas, increase the country's export sales and introduce new jobs to the local market.

Before founding Orion Health, Ian was a senior telecommunications consultant for Clearfield Consulting Ltd., specializing in message standards and connectivity of data network systems and infrastructures. Prior to his work at Clearfield, Ian worked for Ernst & Young designing corporate networks. Ian has also worked as a product manager at Imagineering Micro Distributors in New Zealand and a senior business analyst for the London Stock Exchange.

Ian received a Masters in Engineering Sciences and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from Auckland University in New Zealand.

 

Kimbal Riley, Chief Operating Officer

Kimbal Riley is the Chief Operating Officer at Orion Health.

Kimbal has an extensive track record in the software and technology services industries, with executive roles with companies such as Digital Equipment, CSC, Nortel and EDS. He first worked in the Health market in 1993 when project managing the implementation of a full clinical system for a New Zealand HMO. Since that time Kimbal has maintained an intense interest in the innovative use of technology and technology services in Health markets across Asia-Pacific and around the globe.

 

Paul Viskovich, President USA Operations

Paul Viskovich is responsible for Orion Health's operations in the United States and Canada, building trusted relationships with both clients and business partners.

Paul has more than 20 years experience in the IT industry and has held senior sales, marketing and management positions with Fujitsu, Amdahl Corporation, DMR Consulting and Eagle Technology Group within the Asia Pacific Region. He has several key tertiary qualifications in the information technology field.

 

Mark Capill, Regional Director Europe

Mark is responsible for the performance and growth of Orion Health in Europe and the Middle East.

Before joining the Orion Health team in 1998, Mark worked in corporate finance for seven years with a further three years experience in corporate workout / insolvency. Prior to that, he held various roles in trade finance and data processing.

 

Paul de Bazin, Rhapsody Group General Manager

Paul de Bazin is responsible for the Rhapsody product line. Rhapsody is responsible for both the Rhapsody Integration Engine and the Symphonia Universal Messaging Toolkit.

Paul has a passion for software development and 10 years experience in Health Messaging.

Paul has been with Orion since 1996. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons).


Susie Barrington, Financial Services Manager

Susie Barrington joined Orion Health in 2005 and is responsible for managing the finance and internal IT shared service functions. She brings a variety of international experience from financial, IT management and business development roles within banking, forestry and pharmaceutical companies.

Susie graduated from Brunel University, London with a BA (Hons) in Mathematical and Management Studies and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK.

 

Wayne Oxenham, General Manager - Concerto Group

Wayne is responsible for managing the delivery of clinical solutions for Orion Health's Concerto product line.

Before joining Orion Health, Wayne held commercial management, project management, senior consulting, and analyst positions in various industries including health, consulting and investment banking. Wayne has 14 years experience in IT and has worked in New Zealand and Europe.

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics and Information Services and Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Accounting and Finance. Outside of his office activities, Wayne can usually be found training or racing with his Adventure Racing team, OrionAdventure.
