Andrew Clements

Andrew Clements, Chairman

Andrew, known as Clem, was for several years Managing Director of Emerald Capital Limited, a Canadian owned equity investor in New Zealand. 

Clem is now a shareholder and Director of private investment company Zeus Capital Limited.

Clem is currently chairman of Orion Health and a director of a number of NZX listed and private companies including Ryman Healthcare Limited, The New Zealand Refining Company and Revera Limited.  He is a member of the IOD and completed the NZIM advanced management program in 1991 and a B.Com at Auckland University in 1985.

He is a trustee of a number trusts including the Graeme Dingle Foundation (an endowment fund for the Foundation for Youth Development that operates the Project K, KiwiCan, MYND and Stars programs).

He has also recently been appointed to the Investment Committee of the UABS Entrepreneurial Challenge at the University of Auckland Business School.

Clem joined Emerald in 1998 after a previous position as managing director of New Zealand Experience Limited an NZX listed company where Emerald was a significant shareholder.  Prior experience included 9 years with Goodman Fielder Wattie in various financial and general management positions in New Zealand and Asia, following corporate money market and foreign exchange positions in New Zealand and London.

Ian McCrae

Ian McCrae, Director & Chief Executive Officer

Ian McCrae founded Orion Health in 1993 with a five-person staff in Auckland, New Zealand. Under his stewardship, the company has seen unprecedented growth and success. With nearly 400 staff members operating across four continents, Orion Health has introduced its health integration software to every major market.

Ian is one of 11 members of the New Zealand Government's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Taskforce, formed to identify ways to boost the sector's economic contribution. As an industry visionary, Ian spearheaded the formation of New Zealand's Health IT Cluster, a group of 25 companies collaborating to promote New Zealand's unique software solutions overseas, increase the country's export sales and introduce new jobs to the local market.

Before founding Orion Health, Ian was a senior telecommunications consultant for Clearfield Consulting Ltd., specializing in message standards and connectivity of data network systems and infrastructures. Prior to his work at Clearfield, Ian worked for Ernst & Young designing corporate networks. Ian has also worked as a product manager at Imagineering Micro Distributors in New Zealand and a senior business analyst for the London Stock Exchange.

Ian received a Masters in Engineering Sciences and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) from Auckland University in New Zealand.

Paul Shearer

Paul Shearer, Advisor

Paul is the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, a global leader in the design, manufacture, sales and marketing of a range of respiratory medical devices.

Joining Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in 1990, Paul has extensive international experience working within the healthcare industry. He has held various managerial positions while living in the United States , UK and France establishing Fisher & Paykel Healthcare sales offices.

Paul is responsible for 350 off shore based staff and is a director of various Fisher & Paykel Healthcare subsidiary companies.

Prior experience includes positions held at ICL Ltd and Computercorp Ltd. Paul received his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand.

Neil Cullimore

Neil Cullimore, Director

Neil has been involved in the IT industry for more than 40 years. Prior to 1993 he was CEO and Director of Paxus Corporation, an Australian publicly listed IT company with operations across Asia/Pacific, Europe and Canada. Following the merger in 1993 of Paxus with The Continuum Company  in Austin, Texas, he moved to become Executive Vice-President of Continuum. In 1996 Continuum was acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and this led to him being appointed as Executive Vice-President of CSC’s Financial Services Group based in Austin.

Since moving back to Sydney in 1999 and subsequently New Zealand in 2007, he has participated in a number of public and private companies in the IT industry both as an investor and Director. For much of this period he has had a significant concentration across a broad spectrum of the healthcare sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Maths) from Auckland University.
Andrew Ferrier

Andrew Ferrier, Director

Andrew has held a number of director and executive positions for large multi-nationals and has almost 30 years of experience in international business. He was attracted to Orion Health for its growth potential, arising from the company's leadership position in a number of major markets. With a background in building global, performance-driven teams and international business experience, Andrew will be taking an active role in the business.

Prior to joining Orion Health, he was CEO of New Zealands biggest company, Fonterra for 8 years. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of GSW Inc. and spent 16 years in the sugar industry working in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tate & Lyle North America Sugars Inc. He served as a Director of OptiSolar, Inc until June 2011, and as a Director of GSW Inc. until July 31, 2003, as well as serving as Chairman of several industry related Boards..

Andrew joins the Orion Health not only as a board member but as an invester, through his family investment company, Canz Capital Ltd. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick and a Master of Business Administration from Concordia University. Andrew, a native of Canada, plans to spend time in Canada with family, but live more than half the year in New Zealand.
