Easy-to-use web-based tools for clinical ordering
cOrder is a web-based application for creating and sending electronic service orders for pharmacy, radiology, laboratory and allied hospital services. Physicians can quickly assemble individual orders or groups of orders online.

Decision support for ePrescribing
cOrder can help reduce medication errors and improve the quality and efficiency of medication use. cWorkflow's automated decision support tools assist physicians at every point of the prescribing process. At one site using cOrder, the hospital pharmacy measured a 19% decrease in discharge prescribing errors in a post-implementation review.

Drug interaction checking
cOrder can be integrated into any pharmaceutical drug interaction database to provide decision support, checks for drug-drug interactions, drug-disease interactions and duplicate orders.

Drug - Allergy checking
cOrder includes its own allergy checking module which allows for the complete management of a patient's allergies in addition to providing warnings to physicians when an allergy alert is warranted.

On-line drug monographs
cOrder can be integrated with on-line drug monographs and medication references allows the physician to view drug information at the point of prescribing. The software also interfaces with an organization's existing order filling systems. Orders can also be sent via email or to a dedicated printer for manual processing.

Rule creation to meet region and facility-specific regulations
The cWorkflow Engine tools allow rules to be created in order to support antibiotic guidelines, check laboratory results such as INR, gentamicin levels etc. These rules can be integrated into the ordering process and will provide customizable warnings at the time of ordering.

cOrder can also display medication information specific to an institution during the prescribing process, including descriptions such as restricted, formulary status, not in stock etc.

Searchable order history
cOrder has a comprehensive, searchable order history, displaying what has previously been ordered, when it was ordered and who ordered it. The order status is defined by color-coding.

Audit trail
cOrder produces an audit trail which tracks all aspects of general orders and provides detail on modified orders and overridden alerts.

Virtual medication charts that are quick and easy to use
cOrder provides a 'Medication View' for pharmacy orders. This screen displays a virtual medication chart, which closely resembles the look and feel of familiar paper versions. Discharge prescriptions can be created directly from the 'Medication View", and existing drugs can be modified, or medications stopped, with a single click.
