Integrated Access to Patient Information - Both Inside and Outside the Clinic

The Lahey Clinic is a physician-led, nonprofit multispecialty group practice with roughly 500 physicians located around the Boston area, with large sites in Burlington and Peabody MA. The Lahey Clinic, a renowned research center, offers patients access to clinical trials of new therapies for diseases including cancer, diabetes, heart disease and cataracts. Research programs encompass more than 200 clinical trial protocols as well as participation in numerous national and international studies.

The Lahey Clinic wanted to give clinicians a single, integrated view of patient information that was created in a dozen different systems as well as consolidated information stored in paper records. It also wanted to make patient information more readily available to outside referring physicians and emergency care providers.
