Test Engineers (Auckland)
The successful candidates will participate in QA activities throughout the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and use case definition through to product release. Test Engineers will be responsible for ensuring that the resulting development of business solutions (including system design, development and documentation) meets the defined business requirements.

To be considered for this position you must have demonstrated:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages and web client technologies such as Java Script, HTML, XML/XSLT, J2EE
  • Experience using system to system messaging, structured messaging and message queuing would be an advantage
  • A solid grasp of software development and testing processes and methodologies
  • Experience with RDMS database technologies, Windows & Unix server operating systems and TCP/IP
  • Understanding of multi-tier architectures
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent and written communication skills
  • Personal drive to increase knowledge and skills
  • Initiative and independence within a team environment
  • Experience with non functional testing and test automation an advantage
 
Required competencies:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in software development
  • 2-5 years working as a software developer or implementer and testing experience is a prerequisite
  • Previous experience in Health IT or EAI software industry is an advantage
